Briefing paper: Promoting Healthy Start uptake – what works well?

Food Active have launched the latest ‘What Works Well?’ briefing paper, this time exploring regional and local examples of ‘what works well’ in promoting and sustaining uptake of the Healthy Start Scheme across the UK.

The paper aims to summarise the key evidence available for a range of different programmes and initiatives that are currently in place across the UK to promote Healthy Start uptake, including engagement with local partners and services, targeted communication plans and training and education. To conclude, a number of recommendations are made for national government and local authorities to help improve and sustain uptake of the scheme.
