In this special Christmas edition of the Food Active newsletter, we take a moment to reflect on the highlights from what has been another very busy and successful year for the organisation.
As well as the latest news, resources and events, we look back through:
- The growing momentum of the Healthy Weight Declaration, this year the tally of adoptees reached 16 local authorities in the North West with work commencing in Yorkshire and the Humber and the South West.
- The sold-out #FoodActive2018 conference held last month in Manchester, ‘Childhood Obesity: Let’s Start at the Very Beginning
- The launch of our early years ‘Kind to Teeth’ campaign to mark this year’s National Smile Month
- GULP delivered in six more local authorities, including Rochdale, Salford, Sheffield, Lancashire, Tameside and Blackpool.
- Fifty-four Food in Care champions trained in the North West across the year
