In 2019, Food Active will be sending a Healthy Weight Declaration special edition bulletin every now and then to update Food Active subscribers on all of the exciting work going on across the country. 

The bulletin will come in addition to the Food Active monthly e-bulletin, which is typically circulated in the last week of each calendar month.

This edition includes guest articles from Leeds City Council, Kirklees Council (Yorkshire and Humber) and Devon County Council (South West) to help share their learning on their own journeys towards adopting the Local Government Declaration on Healthy Weight. We also have updates from where it all started, in the North West – including Blackburn’s Healthy Weight Summit in March and public health colleagues from Blackpool Council on the road speaking at different events to share their experience of adopting the declaration.
