Healthy Weight in all Policies: Two Years On
Welcome to the #FoodActive2019 Conference Hub! Here you will find all of the speakers presentations from the event, which are available to view and download below.
On Tuesday 12th November we held our annual conference in Manchester, titled ‘Healthy Weight in all Policies: Two Years On’. In 2017 we held our first ‘Healthy Weight in all Policies’ conference, and this year we are reflected back on the progress made on the obesity agenda and plans for the future, finally considering how healthy weight can be considered across all organisations and departments.
The sold-out conference brought together 100 speakers and delegates from local authorities, public health progressionals, academics, the third sector, NHS, Government departments and more. The event was kindly chaired by Dr Jeanelle de Gruchy, President of the Association for the Directors of Public Health and Director of Public Health for Tameside.
By scrolling down this page, you can either remind yourself of any key presentations and for those of you who were not able to attend, get fully up to speed with everything that was covered across the day by accessing our event report, presentations and gallery.
We would like to say a big thank you to  all of our local authority partners for supporting the event, our fantastic line up of speakers and a room full of engaged delegates for making the event a great success.
