On Thursday 4th November 2021, we held our virtual annual conference – this year focusing on the impact of weight stigma.

‘Eliminating Weight Stigma: A Call to Action’ brought together over 300 delegates and speakers, representing local authority public health, communications and 0-19 services teams, NHS colleagues, students, community and voluntary organisations, campaign groups and more to discuss how we can eliminate weight stigma. You can check out the Conference Programme here.

We also be launched our very own dedicated Resource Hub for tools and materials to address weight stigma. The Hub contains of a compilation of Food Active’s own resources, guest blogs and case studies as well as signposting to some other fantastic external resources from the likes of world Obesity Federation, Obesity UK, APPG Obesity, UConn Rudd Centre for Food Policy and Health and more.

By scrolling down this page, you can either remind yourself of any key presentations and for those of you who were not able to attend, get fully up to speed with everything that was covered on the day by viewing the recording, downloading speaker presentations.

We would like to say a big thank you to all our fantastic line up of speakers, panelists and chair for supporting the event.
