Senior Project Manager (Schools Porgramme)

Karen holds an MSc in Public Health Nutrition and a BA (Hons) in Health Promotion, and is the Food Active Project Manager for the Schools Pledge Programme.

With experience in school meals research, evaluation, and implementing nutrition standards in early years settings, she is passionate about improving school food culture and its positive impact on children, families, and communities.

Karen is leading the Schools Pledge Programme to promote healthy and active lifestyles in primary schools across Cheshire and Merseyside. Over the next 18 months, she will collaborate with schools, local authorities, and communities to implement the Core Commitments, fostering a whole-school approach to health and well-being.

Excited about the programme’s potential, Karen is committed to addressing health inequalities and creating sustainable positive change in some of the most deprived areas, helping children lead healthier, more active lives.”
