One week to go until #FoodActive2023: conference agenda now available!

There is just now one week to go until we welcome +100 delegates in person at the Museum of Liverpool, and over 200 virtually to the #FoodActive2023 conference!

Held at the beautiful Museum of Liverpool on Wednesday 22nd November, ’10 Years of Food Active: Reflecting on Local and National Action’ will together a wide range of stakeholders to reflect on how the national landscape on healthy weight policy has changed and to consider opportunities both regionally and nationally to bolster existing policy, as we both mark the 10th anniversary of the Food Active programma and approach the forthcoming General Election.

Chaired by Food Active’s Lead Director of Public Health and Director of Public Health at Liverpool City Council, Professor Matthew Ashton, the conference will also aim to reinforce the importance of local action on promoting healthier weight, in addition to sharing good practice from across the North West.

To mark one week to go, we have published the conference agenda which is jam-packed with a fantastic line up of speakers and interesting discussions.

We will also be hosting a poster exhibition as part of the conference proceedings, providing another opportunity to showcase local good practice on promoting healthier weight. Further information will be circulated to delegates in due course.

The response to the conference has been fantastic, with in-person tickets selling out within a matter of weeks of registration going live. However, if you missed out on an in-person ticket, not to worry! You can still join us via a live stream – just register using the link below.

If you have any questions, please email

We hope to see you either in-person at the Museum of Liverpool, or via our live stream, on the 22nd November!
