Podcast: Warrington’s journey to adopting the Healthy Weight Declaration

The Food Active podcast aims to explore how we can collectively promote healthy weight, by looking at the social, environmental, economic and legislative factors which influence our lifestyle choices.

The latest episode of the Food Active podcast is now live!

In this episode, we spoke with Public Health Practitioner Debbie Allcock and Cllr McLaughlin from Warrington Borough Council, about their journey to adopting the Healthy Weight Declaration. Debbie is a registered Nutritionist and Public Health Practitioner working for Warrington Borough Council’s Public Health team. Debbie works on the Staying Well agenda (adult health improvement), but predominately leads on both the Healthy Weight and Physical Activity workstreams. Councillor Maureen McLaughlin is Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Social Care and supported the development of Warrington’s local healthy weight and physical activity strategies.
