We respond to all consultations which may have an impact on healthy weight, and those which relate directly to our core aims and policy calls. Our consultation responses try to include a North West response, informed by our network members who have the opportunity to feed in and have their voice heard nationally.

The Department of Health and Social Care consulted on Restricting promotions of food and drink that is high in fat, sugar and salt in 2019. This technical consultation aims to gather feedback on the proposals to legislate to restrict promotion of multibuy HFSS products as well as HFSS products in store entrances.

Public Health England have developed voluntary guidelines for the food industry to improve the nutritional content of commercial baby food and drinks. This consultation was an opportunity to feedback on the draft guidelines.

Consultation on the total restriction of online advertising of food and drink products that are high in fat, sugar and/or salt. The consultation was one of the commitments outlined in the Government’s Obesity Strategy launched in July 2020.
