New Weight Stigma Resource Hub launched to mark #FoodActive2021

To mark the #FoodActive2021 Conference ‘Eliminating weight stigma: a call to action’, we are launching a new dedicated resource hub on our website to help address weight stigma.

This dedicated page on the Food Active website collates all our own existing and NEW materials in one place, as well as signposting to other excellent organisations and resources.

This new platform will be launched at the conference, and will feature the following resources:

  • Our statement on weight stigma
  • Presentation on weight stigma with delivery notes (NEW resource)
  • Stamping out weight stigma – a checklist for the workforce
  • Weight stigma evidence briefing
  • Weight stigma position statement
  • Guest blogs exploring weight stigma
  • Local case studies on tackling weight stigma

We will also include signposting links to other useful organisations, websites and resources – specifically some of the fantastic image banks and galleries available, and separating the resources into various sectors – healthcare, children and young people, media and policy.

We will continue to add to the resource in the coming months and years, so make sure you regularly check the hub to make sure you are up to date with all the latest tools and support.

If you would like us to feature any of your own resources on this hub, please get in touch with us and we will be happy to share it.

In addition, we would like to share case studies on local practice, policy and action on addressing weight stigma. Please get in touch with us if you are involved in or aware of any practice that we can share details of on this hub.
